“Over the years, I have come to understand that some of the most important things in life cannot be seen, only felt.
For me, scent has always been one of the most powerful ways to return to myself. A single breath can shift a feeling, soften a difficult moment, or reconnect us to something we have forgotten within. As an artist and creator, I have always been fascinated by emotion, beauty, performance, and the human experience.
Today, I work with some of the world’s most respected perfumers and the finest raw materials to create fragrances that are both beautiful and purposeful. My hope is that these perfumes do what great art has always done: move you, inspire you, and gently guide you back to yourself—and to who you choose to become.”
Bertrand Duchaufour is one of the most recognised and respected perfumers, whose legendary career began in the mid 80’s in Grasse, where he trained at Lautier Florasynth Group. He was expected to become a geologist like his father until he smelt his girlfriend’s Chanel No19, which launched his new obsession. In the quarter-century since, Duchaufour has become a true rock star of the niche perfume world, where he does not compromise on quality or vision. This commitment has lead to a an expansive repertoire, full of triumphs and bestsellers, from Comme des Garcons Avignon and Kyoto, to Amouage’s Jubilation XXV, to a 10-year journey as L’Artisan’s “Perfumer in Residence”, an unprecedented honor that has born countless fruits including Dzongkha, Nuit de Tubereuse, Timbuktu, Vanille Absoluement, and Fleur de Liane, amongst many others.
Duchaufour seems unrestrained by any one style or trademark, opting instead to embrace new challenges, which often result in new successes. A true master of modern perfume.
"What I created through this beautiful Phuong Dang perfumes line is the most original and qualitative I ever made. I have not worked with beautiful raw materials in such big quantities before! I had to surpass myself and push all my capacities of imagination for expressing with the best efficiently possible all their virtues. It was a wonderful challenge!”
“…The most interesting fact was to have, for the very first time, a direct and sharp dialogue with an artist who is already very familiar with fragrances and keen in her purposes and willingness. I never had before such confidence and well understanding from a client or any partner I have worked with so far. Phuong is an artist, moreover a painter. As a painter myself, I could easily come into her beautiful world represented by her own paintings, by her own beautiful words describing the scents. Everything seemed so clear in her way of presenting to me on what she wanted to express. Easy path indeed. It's the reason as well I worked so freely and with efficiency. Bravo Phuong."

Mark Buxton is considered one of the most gifted and prolific perfumers in the world. His talent was spotted when he entered a German TV show to identify 600 unlabelled perfumes from their smell alone, as the result of which the 21 year old Buxton was offerred a traineeship at Haarman & Reimer (Symrise) in Paris, where he now lives and creates fine fragrances for more than 25 years. Besides his well-known creations for the houses of Givenchy, Paco Rabanne, Versace, Chopard, and Cartier, he is best-known for defining the Commes Des Garcons style, including the original CDG in 1994 and the perpetually popular CDG 2 in 1999.
His handwriting in perfumery is short, direct, yet always leave many traces for imagination.
“A fantastic experience getting to know Phuong and having the pleasure working with her, a permanent exchange of emotions and orders. Like a perfect ping pong game, where the ball never drops out of bounds.”

The bottle, with its own unique mould, was designed by Phuong Dang with the intension to "convery more with less" by reducing everything down to its essential elements. Each bottle brings a sentiment of truth and expresses the essence of emotion though form, while letting the exceptional scent inside express the soul. They are minimal, sculptural, yet full of contrast between dark and light, movement and stillness, strenght and sensuality.
The bottles are all hand-finished by a master glassmaker from France.
